Which Laparoscopy Set Features Are Worth Comparing?

I’m currently researching laparoscopy sets for a clinical setup and I’m finding it difficult to decide which features actually matter. There are many options available, but I don’t want to choose based only on price or the number of instruments included.

From what I understand, the most important things to compare are the quality and durability of the instruments, optical clarity, compatibility between components, ease of handling, and overall reliability during procedures. I’d also like to know how important factors such as sterilization compatibility, warranty or service support, and availability of replacement parts are when making a decision.

While comparing a Laproscopy set delaer in India, I’m particularly interested in understanding how buyers evaluate suppliers beyond the initial quotation. Does supplier experience make a significant difference? Is it better to choose a slightly more expensive set if the manufacturer or dealer provides better after-sales support and spare parts?

I’m also concerned about hidden costs, such as additional accessories, maintenance, or replacements that may not be included in the original price. Delivery timelines and proper documentation are other things I plan to confirm before ordering.

For those who have purchased or used laparoscopy sets, which features did you find most important in actual use? Are there any common mistakes or red flags I should watch for when comparing suppliers and quotations?
