What Should You Consider Before Choosing Made-to-Measure Curtains?

Finally pulled the trigger on made-to-measure curtains for my living room since the ready-made ones I tried just didn't fit my oversized window properly, kept looking stretched and sparse no matter what I did. Turns out standard curtains are basically designed for typical window sizes and mine was just too wide for that to work. Had someone come measure on-site which I didn't realize mattered this much, apparently getting the width and rod extension wrong is the most common issue with custom curtains not actually looking custom. Went with Kingdom of Curtains since they offer free doorstep measurement across Delhi NCR and honestly the in-home visit made a huge difference compared to me trying to eyeball dimensions myself. Anyone else learn the hard way that ready-made just doesn't cut it for bigger windows?
