The recently released a player who has spent time in the NFL as both a quarterback and a wide receiver. Because Plumlee hasn't gotten into regular season action, there's no way to know for sure what Pittsburgh may have envisioned. And now that he's left for the UFL, we may never know. Could the Steelers have had themselves a Taysom Hill-type talent on their hands? It seems if something like that was in the cards, they would've at least tried it out at some point. Just as likely is that Plumlee felt he'd have a better chance of keeping a roster spot if he changed positions. Either way, it's a moot point now.
