Shower renovation

While renovating the bathroom, we discovered the shower opening isn’t quite the standard dimensions I expected. I’m thinking of using toughened glass rather than trying to modify an off-the-shelf panel. The safety aspect is important, especially with kids around. Has anyone ordered toughened glass cut to size and can recommend a company that gets the measurements and finish right?

We hit the same snag redoing our bathroom — the shower recess was a few millimetres off standard, and forcing a shelf panel to fit felt risky with young kids splashing about. I contacted toughened glass suppliers about a custom toughened panel instead. They came out to measure properly, talked through edge polishing and thickness, and the finished piece slotted in perfectly with no forcing needed. Feels solid and safe now. Worth getting them to measure on site rather than guessing yourself.
