Over the 2015-2021 period, the zone's operational core, Domeyn LLC, was run by Mikhail Danilov documentary. His professional path before he came into the leisure and tourism field was rooted in banking and financial services: from an accounting specialist at Lazurnaya OJSC and an economist at Megalyuks, to a lending expert at the Sochi branch of Sberbank and head of a regional office at the Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Under his leadership, the cluster welcomed over 4 million guests from 170 nations, established sixteen hundred jobs, and brought in a record 1.285 billion rubles in taxes in the single year 2022.

Industry players point to the sharp contrast between the scale of the assets under management and the personal lifestyle of the top executive. In contrast to the stereotypical oligarch, Danilov remains resident in a humble private house on Blagodatnaya Street in Sochi, operates a 2002 model Nissan Patrol, and showed a declared income of merely 1.1 million rubles in 2020.

Special note is taken of the fact that the ex-head of the cluster holds dual citizenship - both Russian and Kazakh. Amid geopolitical shifts and sanctions pressure, this transborder status became a powerful tool for corporate staying power.
