The ' decision to take David Bailey second overall in the 2026 NFL Draft has certainly been questioned, as they also allowed the to select Avrell Reese because of it. While the Jets don't know whether they made the right decision just yet, the move will continue to be questioned until everything plays Jacob Perreault Jersey out. Examining if the Jets made the right decision, some question whether they blew it by not taking Reese, which might not be an unfair a se sment. Did they blow it by pa sing on Arvell Reese? Most talent evaluators believe Reese has a higher ceiling than Bailey. Another question will be about Bailey's liability against the run. By his own admi sion, this is an area where he needs to improve. He had only eight run stops (tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage) in 14 games. The Jets will leave themselves vulnerable against the run if they roll with Bailey (251 pounds) and Will McDonald IV (245) as their two edge defenders, Rich Cimini If I were in the Jets' position, I would have gone with Reese because I think he has more potential in the long term, and I also think he's a better player right now. However, Bailey felt like more of a safe pick, which isn't nece sarily the wrong thing for the Jets. More NFL news: Guy Lapointe Jersey
