Is the iPhone still worth it in 2025, or are alternatives finally better?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been using iPhones for years, but with all the new Android flagships and foldables coming out, I’m starting to wonder—is the iPhone still really worth the price in 2025?
I know Apple nails the ecosystem, but with some of the hardware features (like charging speed, customization, and even camera tech) lagging behind in certain areas, I’m curious what others think.
For those who’ve switched away from iPhone recently—or considered it—what pushed you? And for those sticking with iPhone, what’s keeping you loyal?
Would love to hear your takes!

Still hoping to hear some thoughts on this—really curious where people stand on the whole iPhone vs Android thing in 2025.
I’ve been exploring different platforms lately, not just phones. Funny enough, even came across something called TikTok 18 the other day—basically an adult version of TikTok that’s been getting some buzz. Shows how far customization and platform variety have come, even beyond traditional apps. If anyone’s curious, I found more info here.
Anyway, if you’ve made the switch (or resisted the temptation), would love to hear what tipped the scale for you.

One thing I’ve noticed while trying out alternatives is how much the app ecosystem plays into the decision. Apple’s App Store is solid, but it’s also very restrictive. That’s actually how I came across the Scarlet iOS App Store (scarletisostore.com) — it’s an alternative store that lets you install apps and tools you normally wouldn’t find on Apple’s official platform. For some people, that kind of freedom really tips the balance, especially if they’re into experimenting with apps outside the walled garden.
So I guess for me, the big question isn’t just about hardware anymore (since Android and iPhone are both strong there), but about how much flexibility you want in software and ecosystem. Some will always prefer Apple’s polished stability, while others want the freedom to push boundaries.
