Is It Better to Hire a US Based Dating App Development Company or Go Offshore?

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently exploring options for building a dating app and keep going back and forth between hiring a US-based team or working with an offshore development company.

On one hand, a US-based dating app development company may offer easier communication, similar working hours, and a better understanding of the local market. On the other hand, offshore teams can often provide significant cost savings.

I'm trying to understand the real trade-offs from people who have actually gone through this process.

    Some things I'm considering:

    • Development cost
    • Communication and project management
    • Time zone differences
    • Quality of work
    • Long-term maintenance and support
    • Experience with dating app features such as matching, chat, subscriptions, and user verification

I've also noticed that many companies now work with distributed teams, which makes the distinction between local and offshore less clear than it used to be.

For anyone who has built a dating app or hired a development team:

    • Did you choose a US-based company or an offshore team?
    • What was your experience like?
    • Looking back, would you make the same decision again?

I'd appreciate hearing some real-world insights before making a decision.

    Thanks! 👍
