I keep freezing when I need to explain my ideas - is this something you can actually train?

At work I notice a weird problem: I understand things clearly in my head, but when I need to explain them out loud -  especially in meetings - I either overcomplicate it or just blank out. It’s starting to affect my confidence. I’m not looking for general communication tips anymore, I want to know if this “freeze” response can actually be trained out. Has anyone fixed this in practice?

Hey, I had the same issue - I can think clearly, but in meetings I either freeze or overcomplicate what I’m trying to say. What helped me was realizing it’s not about learning more, but about how you perform under pressure. I came across a Reddit post (search rise guide reviews) where someone compared different self-growth approaches and basically pointed out that passive learning doesn’t fix this kind of problem - you only improve it through active practice. In my experience, the “freeze” doesn’t go away from tips alone, but it gets noticeably better when you regularly practice explaining ideas out loud in real time.
