How Reliable is Penguin Publishing?

Hi guys!

I’m planning to publish my book soon and one of the names that keeps coming up is penguin publishing. I know they’re globally recognized, but I’m wondering how easy it is for new authors to get noticed by them. Do they accept debut writers, or do you usually need an agent to submit? If anyone has personal experience with Penguin, I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
