To fix an Outlook PST file that cannot be opened, first create a backup of the original PST file to avoid overwriting the damaged data. If Outlook’s built-in repair utility, ScanPST.exe, cannot resolve the issue, use the Aryson Outlook PST Repair Tool to recover data from the inaccessible file. Add the PST file to the software, select a recovery mode—Standard, Advanced, or Deep—and start the scanning process. After scanning, preview the recovered emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, and other mailbox items. Select the required data and save it as a new PST file or export it to EML, MSG, DBX, or MBOX formats. Aryson also supports encrypted and password-protected PST files and provides a Date Filter for selective recovery. This makes it useful when Outlook cannot open the PST or reports that the file is damaged or inaccessible.
