camping gear for large family

We have a family of 6 and a dog. Every tent we buy feels too cramped after we put the sleeping bags in. I want something with high ceilings so I can stand up and maybe have room for a table inside if it rains. Does anyone know of a tent that feels more like a cabin? I am tired of crawling around on my knees.

If space is your priority, you need to look at the glamping style tents. They have vertical walls which makes a huge difference. I bought an inflatable tent house from Coody..us recently and it is huge inside. It literally feels like a portable cabin. The air columns make it super sturdy even in wind. We fit two queen beds and a table in ours with room to spare. It is an investment, but for a family of 6, it is the only way to camp comfortably without killing each other.
